“a rare opportunity for me to use my healthcare knowledge to help improve the quality of our restructured local NHS facilities”
The Trust is the merger of Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust with that of Frimley Park.
Clewer based Tony, a former Windsor Boys School pupil and president of Windsor Cricket Club for the past 15 years, said he wants to be a part of the Trust board to improve the quality of the local health service.
Tony has lived in Windsor all his life and his knowledge of the health service not only stems from being married to a midwife but also from his professional life as an architect.
Speaking about his appointment Tony thanked the WWRA for its suppport adding: “This is the first time in the history of the NHS that one hospital foundation trust has been taken over by another. It is therefore a rare opportunity for me to use my healthcare knowledge to help to improve the quality of our restructured local NHS facilities.”
WWRA Chairman, Councillor Wisdom Da Costa said, “I have no doubt that Tony will help to bring better practises to many new areas of the Trust’s operations including good hospital design; good hospital design can help a hospital achieve it’s financial, clinical, and service objectives.
We wish Tony well, and thank him for seeking to improve the quality of care that residents receive.“
We wish Tony all the luck for the future and look forward to supporting and helping him where we can.
