Now, you can help us go further in 2015

The WWRA has had a very successful year helping people, informing residents, and fighting for our community.

Now, you can help us go further in 2015, and reach more people, and strengthen our community.

There are a number of opportunities for you to help us help you. Training and guidance will be provided if needed, and you will be invited to our Helpers tea Party later in the year.

Many of these roles would also suit students on the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme

  • The individual must have an eye for detail, be methodical and IT literate.
  • The role is home-based apart from attending six committee meetings per year.
  • Apart from the Committee meetings this role would involve around 4 hours per month commitment.

We want to reach out to more people, with more stories, and more resources, offers, and on-line functions. These roles will assist the newly-appointed Digital Editor in increasing on-line engagement with our local community.

Our prime medium is currently our website, but with your energy and skills we aim to extend the functions, and apps we use to connect with people young and old.

  • These two roles involve ensuring the content of the website is up to date, well-written and interesting
  • Individual must have good writing skills, presentation skills and familiarity with using on-line tools.
  • The role is home-based and would involve approximately  4 hours per month commitment.

The prime role of a Committee member is to ensure that the  WWRA meets its aim of assisting in improving the quality of living in West Windsor.

To that end Committee members are expected to take on a role in an area which is of interest to them and/or in which they have relevant expertise or skills.  Basic IT skills would be very useful.

  • With your energy and vision, we can extend the range of issues watch over, and the number of people who are helped.
  • Apart from six Committee meetings a year this role would involve at least 4 hours per month commitment.

Collectors and deliverers

Our collectors and deliverers are the lifeblood of what we do. They are the face of the WWRA, the glue that holds part of our community together, as they go round saying hello, delivering the quarterly newsletters, and collecting subscriptions from our members.

  • You can sign up for as many, or as few newsletters to deliver
  • The role will take around 1-3 hours, every quarter

So not onerous, but vitally important.
