It’s the time of year again for the Royal Swan Upping on the Thames River. It starts in Monday the 18th July and finishes on Friday 22nd July. The Queen’s Swan Warden will be collecting data, assessing the health of the young cygnets and checking them for any health concerns and injury’s. This time of year is when the young Cygnets are at one of the most vulnerable stages of their early development and Swan Upping gives the opportunity to help adults and cygnets.
“This is a great opportunity for children and families to come down to the river and learn more about the swans and how they live” Kevin Chapman WWRA Chair
Swan Upping will commence on Monday 18th July from Sunbury on Thames, Middlesex and will finish on Friday 22nd July at Abingdon Bridge, Oxfordshire. For a chance to see the Swan Upping in process check out when and where they will be next week.
