The local Council, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM), are proposing the creation of 650 homes in this area in their latest planning plans called the Borough Local Plan.
The Council’s proposals will parachute thousands more people into an area which is underdeveloped in terms of infrastructure and services.
And what is really disturbing is
And what is really disturbing is that it is unclear quite how the Borough Local Plan, when finalised, will cater for the need for new schools, medical facilities, fire cover, bus services or indeed road links to serve the increased local population effectively? How will RBWM compensate for the loss of valuable green belt land?
The size and scale of this development appears to have come as a surprise to our local ward councillors(!) and most importantly to many residents.
