Five candidates are standing in the Thames Valley Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) election taking place on Thursday 2 May. See who they are and read their election statements here https://choosemypcc.org.uk/area/thames-valley/

PCCs are elected representatives who oversee how crime is tackled in a police force area and aim to ensure the policing needs of communities are met. They are elected for four years – this short video covers their role.

  • If you’re not already registered to vote or have recently moved address, the last date for registering for this election is Tuesday 16 April at 11.59pm
  • The deadline for receiving new postal vote and postal proxy applications is 5pm on Wednesday 17 April. The first batch of postal votes vote packs will be sent out shortly afterwards
  • The deadline for receiving new applications to vote by proxy (not postal proxy or emergency proxies) is 5pm on Wednesday 24 April
  • If you don’t already have an accepted form of photo ID and wish to vote in person at a polling station, you can apply by 5pm on Wednesday 24 April for a free Voter Authority Certificate.
