RBWM Council are proposing changes in the way they charge for adult social care services. These changes can result in a considerable increase in costs incurred by some of the people using these services.
This contrasts significantly from the article contained in the Spring Edition of “Around the Borough”, which implies that more aid will be given to those receiving adult social care.
The consultation document has, we understand, been sent to all those who currently receive adult social care but it is not an easy document to understand. Copies of the document can be downloaded at:
http//www3.rbwm.gov.uk/consultaqtions
Alternatively you can obtain a copy by telephoning 01628 683744 or going to York House in Sheet Street, Windsor or the Town Hall, St Ives Road, Maidenhead.
There is also a consultation scheduled at The Guildhall, Windsor on 6 April between 6pm and 8pm. Responses to the consultation are required by 11 April.
In some cases the additional costs could be considerable so if you have family, friends or neighbours currently using Adult Care Services we would urge you to help them both understand and respond to the consultation document.
