“England’s green and pleasant land” sums up our Country especially in Summer. Wisdom celebrates some of Clewer North’s horticultural heroes with RBWM’s Gardens in Bloom Award. Is your garden pictured?
Hooray to our horticultural heroes
Celebrating England’s green and pleasant land
William Blake said it well in his stirring and prophetic anthem, “Jerusalem” referring to our Country as “England’s green and pleasant land.”
And it is; I love returning to England after periods abroad and drinking in the green of our countryside and, our gardens and, it seems that the passion for gardening is quintessentially British; so much better than tarmac or bricked front gardens and, better for the environment and flooding.
As a result, I am very pleased to be able to participate with you in RBWM’s Gardens in Bloom Award scheme for 2017 to say, “Hooray to our horticultural heroes”

RBWM’s Gardens in Bloom Award scheme for 2017
As noted in my blog, “Wisdom’s Blog 10 June 2017: Making Windsor Better“, the scheme is being sponsored by Farnham Common Nurseries Ltd and, when residents send in nominations for a Garden’s in Bloom Award, the nominees receive a Gardens in Bloom 2017 rosette and a certificate and, are then marked with the top two gardens in each Ward receiving further awards and a prize.
It’s not too late to participate.

Clewer North Nominees – Photo Gallery
It’s very difficult to capture the beauty of some of the gardens in a single photo given the scale and scent and sense of being immersed but, here are some of the nominees to date. Well done to one and all.
Which is your favourite?
Accountably yours,
