Anti-Social Aircraft Noise from Heathrow

The battle for our skies is heating up with 19 hours a day of aircraft noise, and decisions due soon on both a Third Runway (which would bring 600 more flights per day), and also flight equalisation planning permissions. Here’s what you can do to help yourself.

I don’t know about you but I find myself constantly tired, and often unable to think clearly, no not because of age, because of the incessant aircraft noise over Windsor and Datchet since last Friday (25 September 2015).

Anti-social aircraft noise

The anti-social aircraft noise from Heathrow seems to be hitting new levels during this Indian Summer. Every day since Friday 24 September 2015, we have been suffering from;

  • Aircraft screeching overhead
  • At volumes of up to 85DB
  • From 4:30am – BA’s Hong Kong flight
  • Until as late as 12:55 am – BA’s Telaviv flight
  • Non-stop at up to 1 plane per minute
  • Up to 650 flights per day

If you don’t like it YOU MUST TAKE ACTION, otherwise Heathrow, the Planning Inspector, and David Cameron will think you’re happy with the aircraft noise.

Here are the four key issues to write about to the four key influencers I have noted below;

  1. The frequency and volume of aircraft are causing you problems and disrupting life (tell them all)
  2. The Planning Inspector must allow Heathrow to build the infrastructure to allow an equal distribution of flights over Windsor, so we do not suffer up to 60 flights an hour over a period from 4:30am to 11:30pm without respite – this is totally unfair (Tell the Inspector and your MP)
  3. Heathrow must treat residents health and complaints seriously and act urgently – something they have not done ever so far (tell them all)
  4. David Cameron’s committee must not allow choose a Third Runway for Heathrow another 600 flights over Windsor (Tell your MP & David Cameron)

  4. Message Heathrow each and every time you are disturbed using the Aircraft Noise line
