Blog: Winning ways for Windsor

What does it take to get back to winning ways, or even get there for the first time? Wisdom finds out how the people at Relate MTB can help you.

Sometimes, you just need space, peace and, a helping hand to gently, help you back to winning ways.

Are you facing adversity?

Life and relationships can be such a struggle; like facing the force of a hurricane, or trying to walk up a “down” escalator going faster and faster.

  • If you’re with a partner, it can feel as if you’re being pulled apart, unable to make yourself heard above the thunder.
  • If you’re on your own, it can be hard to make sense of things in the cloud without any reference points, or points of certainty, being pushed around by the storms of life.

Sometimes, you just need space, peace and, a helping hand to gently, help you back to winning ways.

It doesn’t matter what you need help facing;

  • Adversity within your family
  • Crisis in your relationship with your partner
  • Problems in lovemaking with your partner
  • Hardship with mutual depression
  • Complications due to coping with cancer

However you got here the organisation Relate can help you; if you just need someone to talk to who will listen to you; someone who can help; someone who wont judge you; someone who can give you the skills to move on.

So, to help Windsorians young and old, I was very pleased to be able to support Relate MTB, who recently opened up a counselling suite in Windsor to provide just such help to people.

“Our counselling gives life-long relationship skills to people of all ages”

Who you gonna call?

Relate recently opened a branch in Windsor where I met Fiona Greenfield, Relate MTB Centre Director, Trustee Rebecca Curley and Olivia Sell, of Apple Physiotherapy as well as some of their caring staff and trained Counsellors.

Fiona said, “Relate is an essential service for people to turn to when they have relationship problems.  It gives people a unique opportunity to talk through and express their feelings with a specialist person who is highly trained to support them.

“Our counselling gives life-long relationship skills to people of all ages, families, parents and children or stepchildren, grandparents and grandchildren, couples and individuals. Relate MTB counselling makes a huge difference to the lives of so many people but it is a confidential service that is rarely discussed publicly.”

“Relate is all about healthy relationships whether it be for individuals, couples or families.  Our counsellors deliver inclusive, high quality relationship counselling. This enables clients to work through any relationship problems in a safe, non-judgmental environment resulting in a positive outcome whether it be re-building a relationship or parting amicably.”

“Relate MTB also provides counselling to people dealing with depression through our IAPT service (Improving access to psychological therapies) as well as Macmillan patients who need psychological support when hospital care starts to falls away towards the end of their cancer treatment.”

Wisdom helping Relate

Relate are here to help people, young and old, negotiate their way through the ups and downs of life. Their trained counsellors do a fantastic job and I would like to help individuals, couples and families move on positively in their journey through life.

So, I am happy that my donation will help pay for rent and/or support those who would benefit from the service but don’t have the financial means to pay for the service.
